Of past April
Hi all! It has been a while, my work has had insane hours lately, but I am back! I'll try to have another blog post up later in May, but we will have to see if my work decides to absolutely murder me or not.
I received a wonderful dress from SpookySparkleParty, their Batgirl circle dress in violet and it is so beautiful. I have not yet taken pictures of it, but my collection of spooky lavender/purple prints grow at a steady pace! Now to find the same shade of lavender blouse as all these are...
But I managed to make a coord! It features Lady Sloths Galaxy Witch in lavender-pink colorway.
Here I am! I have blue hair now! Everything I am wearing minus shoes and petticoat is from Lady Sloth.
I know that having long-sleeved blouse and ankle socks is not the most common choice, usually it is long blouse - long socks or short blouse - short socks, but somehow I think this works very well. Maybe its the somewhat sheer sleeves on the blouse or the fact that it balances the amount of black very nicely? I think that if I had black tights, there would have been too much black at the bottom, as the hem of this dress has black chiffon and lace. Now they show nicely and do not blend against my legs.
I really enjoy silver with this, I think that I will try to get some silver accessories and shoes to try to make this more celestial. Maybe halo? If you know of nice halo crowns, please comment!
I really enjoyed making and wearing this coord, it was super comfortable and I really love that Lady Sloth is branching out to socks! I cant wait for them to have OTK socks.
This belt did not come with this dress, this fabric belt belongs with the sack OP cut of this same print, but I don't really like the huge black bow that came with this and I wanted something around the waist to pull the eye and to balance the amount of black in the coord.
I am curious to know if you mix your blouse lenght and sock length or if you stick to the long with long and short with short.
Little bit shorter post at this time, but hopefully I'll have the energy to dress up again soon, I have so many pieces to coord!
See you soon,
-Laventeli
