Matsucon and Cloudberry Lady FASHION SHOW!

 Hello! I have been at it again and I have returned to this blog! Sooner than later this time. 

I attended Matsucon at Oulu, Finland. Its the largest city somewhat near me, and somehow I had some free time from my work! Its somewhat miraculous that I had nothing on my plate at that time so I took it upon myself to apply to be a model! 

Tuulia, the designer and owner of Cloudberry Lady, held THE biggest fashion show on her brands history! She told that her brand has 10 year birthday this year, so it was only proper to get BIG. 


The Fashion show had a theme of Halloween meets Christmas! We had the tree, some presents, decorations, mad scientist, a triceratops, you know all those essential christmas things?

Well, I had the absolute honor of being the last dress and the triceratops to save the christmas!

I absolutely ADORE this dress! Tuulia made it for me and I will have the dress!!! I cannot let her go! The lace on the bottom of the hem has some lovely pink and the ribbons at the bodice are so nice! It fits amazingly, Tuulia is super talented at making dresses, she has such massive talent and knowledge! I have somewhat odd proportions and Tuulia nailed at making this dress fit me so well. I felt so confident and beautiful! 

I was nervous to be the final dress, I wanted to do my best! I had the triceratops hat, and I had two words of coreography: "Laventeli sparkles!" So sparkles I gave them! I wanted to be regal and show the hat off, since it is such a show stopping piece! It seemed that I got that right, since so many people told me the fashion show was the best <3 But it was not me alone, my amazing comm members were models also, and they were so beautiful! Everyone had such amazing coords I could stare at them for so long!

I definitely recommend messaging Tuulia @cloudberrylady or sending her email if you want something made for you <3 I can guarantee it will be amazing. I myself have some plans for future orders...

I seem to have gotten some kind of bug to put myself into the fashion shows at conventions, I hesitated so long, because I was not sure if I was even welcome, but Tuulia showed that she is a master of plus size clothing and wants to show that at her fashion shows! I had a blast and I would have been so sad if I had let my fears to keep me from this experience. It can be very hard to face that fear, to be seen and present yourself to the world, but I have noticed more and more that I actually really like performing in fashion shows! I kinda regret not applying at Hellocon, but I had my own program to focus to! Maybe next time? 😉

 Overall, I had fantastic time at Matsucon, we had so many comm members there and they held some programs about lolita fashion! I have such an amazing community around me, I love Poro-Suomen lolitat! <3 We have somewhat late Halloween meet coming up, but you know, Halloween is a mindset 😂

Twinkle Journey and March happenings

 Hello! March has gone by in a flash, I barely realized it was going and now it is going to end! I had a long week workinga at a camp, but now that I have been back at home, I feel much more rested and happy. I have been super busy with work and with personal matters, so taking a break and having some fun dressing up was really welcome and I am glad I did it.  So I wore Twinkle Journey! I have talked about this dress already, but it is the older version of Twinkle Journey, the puff sleeved op cut, but unfortunately the elastic in the sleeves has given up and so my sleeves don't puff up anymore. Still, it is a beautiful dress and I plan on taking this dress to a seamstress and asking if they can replace all the elastics, so that this dress can shine another ten years forward at least!  I really went for the simplest coord idea I had, my dress and headbow are both Twinkle Journey from Metamorphose (yes, I got the headbow secondhand also).
